i made these mistakes so you don’t have to.Īfter you finish that battle, another screen will pop up explaining ‘lux’ - lux is the exp of this game, and you gather it by defeating enemies. please learn from me and actually use this function. fun fact: i skipped all the tutorial screens and did not realize this until i was making this guide level 40. Once you’ve started the quest, the first directive is that you can flick anywhere on the screen to attack all enemies. You can tap any of the available partners’ medals to see their stats, ability (and ability cost), etc. you can partner - and gain FP - with someone more than once in a day, but i haven’t kept track of what the limit is (sorry!) Once you press choose deck, you can choose your partner! if you’re in a party, you’ll gain 10 FP instead of 5 from partnering with someone in your party. the white text talks about what abilities would be good against the enemies in the world - here it says that since there a lot of large groups, abilities that attack all enemies at once would be good - but i personally never paid attention to it until i was making this guide and i never change my decks up anyway lmao sorry
note that while most enemies in the map will match the target’s element, some may not. The top part of the screen tells you the target enemy (but only the target enemy’s) element, name, and level. Once you hit quest start, you’ll get to choose which keyblade & deck you’ll use - right now, you only have one option (starlight), but you’ll unlock more as you progress through the worlds! you can also choose to refill your ability gauge for 30 jewels. the bottom part will let you scroll through quests you’ve already played.Įach quest has three challenges that you can complete for extra bonuses - two of them will give x5 avatar coins (more on these later) and one will give x1 mythril fragment.Ī yellow film strip icon on a quest’s image indicates that there’s a cutscene in that quest. there are currently 200 main story quests, and square enix is apparently adding 50 per month.Įach quest screen will look something like this - the top part of the screen shows the world, the quest name, the map, the quests challenges and the target enemy. The quests are the main story of this game, and you’ll acquire keyblades and avatar customization options as you go through them.
